What I Built

For the Frontend Challenge v24.04.17, I took inspiration from the theme of Earth Day celebration and crafted a visually stunning landing page that showcases a rotating Earth surrounded by a mesmerizing galaxy backdrop.

Journey

• My journey began with a vision of creating an immersive experience that captures the essence of Earth Day. I delved into CSS animations, carefully crafting keyframes to bring the Earth to life with seamless rotation. The galaxy background was meticulously chosen to evoke a sense of wonder and exploration.
• Layering multiple star elements with varying animation speeds and distances added depth to the scene, simulating the sensation of a cosmic fly-by. Each element was positioned with precision, ensuring a harmonious composition that draws visitors into the scene.

Learnings:

• Advanced CSS Techniques: Through this project, I delved deeper into advanced CSS techniques such as animation keyframes, box-shadow manipulation, and background positioning to create visually compelling effects.

• Perspective and Animation: Implementing the galaxy background with perspective and animation added depth and dynamism to the overall composition. Experimenting with different animation timings and easing functions helped fine-tune the immersive experience.

Proud Achievements:

• Galaxy Animation: I'm particularly proud of the galaxy animation effect, which creates a sense of movement and depth, immersing the viewer in the vastness of space.

• Rotating Earth: Achieving the rotating Earth effect required precise positioning and timing adjustments. Seeing it come to life as the centerpiece of the landing page was immensely satisfying.

• Responsive Design: Enhancing the project with responsive design principles to ensure optimal viewing across various devices and screen sizes.

• Interactive Elements: Introducing interactive elements or hover effects to further engage users and enhance the overall user experience.
