Fractured Cube Breakdown - I recently made this fractured cube using a technique known as Pivot Baking, which I’ve wanted to try out for a while now. The cube is actually a pre-fractured model (made in Blender, using the Cell Fracture addon). But importantly, the positions of the origin/pivot of each fractured piece has been baked into mesh data (UV channels). In the shader we obtain these pivots, compare them to another position sent into the shader and use that to displace vertices (as well as scale & rotate).
