Monel 400 Hex Bar is a nickel-copper alloy with about 67% Ni and 23% Cu that is resistant to seawater and steam at high temperatures as well as to salt and caustic solutions. Alloy 400 Hex Bar is a solid solution alloy that can only be hardened by cold working and carries good resistance to oxidizing media which is suitable for most chemical process applications. Welding of round bars can be done by gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc and shielded metal arc processes. Monel DIN 2.4360 Hex Bars are in fact versatile with better overall corrosion resistance compared to other similar alloys available today.

Monel K500 Hex Bars are used for a wide range of temperatures and excellent resistance to many corrosives, in particular hydroxides. Monel K500 Hex Bars have excellent resistance to most corrosive and caustic environments, media, alkalis, and acids (sulfuric, hydrochloric, hydrofluoric). UNS N05500 Hexagonal Bars can be cold processed by following the common methods but as nickel alloys have more hardness than steel so more strength is needed to conduct any operation.
