There are three way to reach Banaras-
By train: There are 3 railway stations in Banaras, you can prefer any one as per your convenience. Varanasi Junction is the main station. Manduadih is secondary option and Banaras railway station is newly developed and with better facilities.
By air: The nearest airport here is Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport (VNS) which is about 25 km from the city Centre. There are direct flights from major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. Varanasi is well connected with highway, you can come here by bus, car or taxi.
Best time to visit
You should come to Banaras in winter (October to March), the weather here is quite pleasant in winter. It is very hot here in summers so you should avoid here in summers Due to rain here any time during monsoon, outdoor activities can be stopped, so you can avoid monsoon also.
