Why "How to get an internship" question is wrong? Part 1.

Nikita Koselev - Nov 4 '22 - - Dev Community

The economy is in a very sad state. Getting internship, which is still often unpaid, is getting more and more difficult.

What if I told you there is a much easier way?

You see, bombarding companies with your "well formatted" CV might work. But it takes time. A lot of time.

I do not suggest to stop applying.

I suggest to limit time you spent on applying, if not stop altogether.
Instead - start investing in yourself.

Even better, let’s build your very own internship, all about you and community, now.

Based on discussion with @DunsinWebDev

Dunsin lives in Nigeria and finding classic internship is hard.
How can Dunsin build one?

Well, Dunsin is interested in Web Development.
Wait… What if we go to LinkedIn Jobs and filter them just by these:

  • Nigeria
  • Remote
  • Web Developer

Wait, what are these 3 first companies?

Did you notice?

Every cool job from the 3 top Web Developer jobs available in Nigeria mentions React.

Now, let’s see if React is OpenSource…

To be continued :)
