There is a new Pull Request competition in town and there is some neat merch behind! ๐
For context, this year was the first time Hacktoberfest did not reward contributors with their famous tee shirts. The reason is partly due to logistical issues and environmental concerns in producing 50k+ tee shirts.
This makes sense, but we wanted to reward still the hard-working community of people wanting to contribute (and we know some people really like the idea of receiving shirts) ๐
So, we decided to give some Quira merch to the winners of this PR challenge. But what is this challenge exactly?
๐ฏ The goal is simple: make the most amount of valid PRs throughout Hacktoberfest!
๐ฉโโ๏ธ The Rules: We will take into account every valid PR from today (October 12th) till October 31st. Your contribution should be made in repos found on Quira (this is a free tool which helps you discover open-source projects to contribute to, and you can filter by your language & topic of preference).
Make sure to contribute to repos with the hacktoberfest label (you can easily find them with Quira by clicking on the cool filter - as shown below).
The top 50 contributors will win some really neat Quira merch. Additionally, all participants we will add get a stunning Quira-specific Hacktoberfest badge to display on their profiles! ๐งข๐ก๏ธ
