Intro:
With current market situation, every IT entity in an organization is struggling to keep up with the talent and the growing application backlog. Low-code technology adoption is helping organizations overcome the app gap caused by a lack of developers and traditional development timelines. Microsoft has been investing in their low code platform with R&D to provide more features / pre-built modules to help the user community. As technology continues to evolve at a rapid pace, it's becoming increasingly important to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in your field.
Implementation:
The goal was to update the team with latest RSS feed from MSFT on power platform product blog (PowerBI, PowerAutomate, PowerApps, Power Virtual Agent, PowerPages) so that they can understand and explore the new features and experiment new ideas. Sort of weekly or monthly news letter.
Configuration on the Flow:
- Since this agent is scheduled to run weekly, the team would be interested to learn only any new updates in last 7 days (** - change to your set days). The RSS feed output is filtered with filter Array
@greaterOrEquals(formatDateTime(item()['publishDate'], 'yyyy-MM-dd'), addDays(utcNow(), -**7**, 'yyyy-MM-dd'))
- The output from the filter Array is composed as a HTML table so that the content could be posted into the TEAMS channel
Value of this Automation
- Enabled the Centre of Excellence / Citizen developers to keep up with Trends and Best Practices
- Helped the team to expand / upskill on platform capability which was not explored.
- The RSS feed inspired the team to come up with fresh ideas and approaches to solving problems in your own work.
- Aided with continuous learning mindset
You could of-course leverage various pre-build template
