Building Networks as Developers

Gabriel Toma - Oct 11 - - Dev Community

Developers are lonely geniuses. They are creative people in love with technology. But most of them have a flaw in their system. A critical bug that sometimes can be a showstopper to their growth - falling into the trap of thinking that success comes only from writing better code, solving tougher problems, or mastering more tools.

I used to think like that, and it's perfectly fine. It's part of the process, and you gotta trust the process. But then I realized that communication, collaboration, and building connections were the missing skill pieces. It's the people around you who will expand your perspective, share insights, and make you better.

Your technical skills got you here. Connecting with others will take you further. Talk with your peers, learn from their experience and share yours. It's not just about solving problems; it's about learning from those who tackle them in ways you haven't thought of yet.

Stay connected. With people.
