Road Blockers while Coding

I think every developer has something which makes them frustrated while coding, something which makes them give up (temporarily) or something which makes them procrastinate. Some of the road blockers which I face while coding are:

  • Errors
  • Bugs
  • Not knowing how to solve an error or bug
  • Not knowing the tech stack (being new to a tech stack)
  • Not knowing the code base
  • Not able to understand the code base
  • Unhelpful people who throw jargon when you ask them for help in trying to understand or locate the code that they wrote.
  • Unhelpful people who direct you to their uncommented code when you ask a doubt about the code that they wrote.
  • Not having the freedom to choose tasks to work on and rather being told what to work on
  • Untrusting teammates
  • Teammates who think they are God just because they are being given a little authority where they can question what you worked on.

What are the road blockers which you face while coding?
