How to Prepare for Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Certification (AZ-900) Exam ?

Microsoft Azure is one of the leading cloud providers. This exam can be taken as an first step in learning about cloud services and how those concepts are illustrated by Microsoft Azure.

If you are preparing for Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or AZ-900 certification exam and want to pass this in-demand certification in the first attempt then you should practice with mock exams and practice tests, those are great tools to assess your preparation and increase your speed and accuracy required to pass this exam in the first attempt.

About the exam

So basically this is very simple and easy exam. The questions are of three types of questions in the exam: Multiple-choice which has one correct answer, true/false questions, and drag and drop questions. This exam measures your ability to understand the following concepts:Core Azure services; security, privacy, compliance, and trust; and Azure pricing and support , etc. This exam reports on a scale of minimum 100 and maximum 1000 with a passing score of 700. The exam contains 40-50 questions and you have 60 minutes to complete and cost you $99.

How to register

You need to create a Microsoft Account first. Once you create an account got to the dashboard page to schedule an exam. Once you click on the schedule a new exam button you will be redirected to all certifications page where you can select Azure exams and then AZ-900. Finally, you can see the below page and options for scheduling. Pick any one of these options, create an account, and schedule an exam.

How to prepare

There are a numerous online platforms where you can take training for this exam, for example, Udemy, etc. If you are a beginner to the cloud you can take one of the courses from the Online Platforms. If you are already familiar with the Cloud and Azure for at least 6 months, you don’t need this. All you need to do is go through Azure fundamentals Docs here

Useful Tips

    In this playlist, all the important topics are covered in very versatile manner. He has some basic quiz on his website, you can check it out also.

  • Start your Microsoft Azure free tier account to practice what you learn from this documentation. This helps with your muscle memory.

  • Note down some important notes as you prepare for the exam so that you can go through these before the exam.

  • Practice the questions from websites like Whizlabs, etc. Exam dumps are readily available on Internet.

  • It’s an online proctoring exam you need to provide your identity before the exam. They usually send you the link via a text message where you can upload your identity.

  • Once verified, you have to close all the browser tabs and download the required exam tools to start the exam.

  • You will have 60 minutes to complete this exam. It’s a lot of time just be patient, take some time to verify your answers.

  • If you are not familiar with the question or not sure about the answer just mark for review and come back later. You can also see all the questions and navigate to whatever the question you want before you submit your exam.

After the exam

The Score will be visible immediately after you complete the exam. But, it takes some time to appear on your Microsoft Dashboard.
