Syncfusion is preparing for its second major release of the year, Essential Studio 2023 Volume 2, packed with cool and exciting features. You can expect the release by the end of June.

This article offers a glimpse into some of the new features that will be introduced in the Syncfusion Flutter suite as part of the 2023 Volume 2 release. These enhancements are designed to further enhance the suite’s functionality and provide users with an even more immersive experience.

PDF Viewer

The Flutter PDF Viewer will offer the following new features in the upcoming 2023 Volume 2 release.

Customizable page loading indicator visibility

This enhancement will give you the flexibility to control the visibility of the page loading indicator. You can now choose whether to display or hide the indicator appearing while the pages are rendered in the user interface.

Default width fitting for page loading [Windows, Web]

In the Windows and Web platforms, pages will now automatically adjust to fit the screen width. This will ensure that the content is optimally displayed without requiring manual adjustments.

Form-filling capability

With this feature, users can now easily fill out and save PDF forms directly within the application. This will simplify the process of completing forms and enable convenient form management.

DataGrid

The Flutter DataGrid will be rolled out with the following new features:

Column drag and drop

You can change the order of the Flutter DataGrid columns by dragging them to a new position. This functionality will enhance the user experience by offering a flexible and user-friendly method to arrange and personalize how data is displayed.

Show the filter icon when the mouse hovers over the column headers

This feature will display a filter icon in the header cell of a column only when the mouse hovers over it. This will prevent the filter icon from being constantly shown on the column header, resulting in a less cluttered display.

The feature allows the hiding of scrollbars in the Flutter DataGrid. By enabling this functionality, the scrollbars that are normally displayed within the control are hidden from view.

Generally, the key stores the widget states in the current widget tree and is used to update the existing element. In response to customer requests, we primarily implemented this support for the DataGridRow to determine whether the row is present in the current widget tree or not during widget testing.
