Cloud migration for an enterprise may mean many different things - modernization of systems of record to optimize the costs, usage of new cloud software to differentiate your business or creation of new cloud-native applications to gain a competitive advantage for the future.

No matter where your environment is hosted, the integration will remain the central piece that ties your enterprise together. The need to integrate has only increased with the proliferation of SaaS applications, IoT sensors and devices, and mobile app development in addition to the vast number of applications of record - mainframes, legacy and custom once. Migrating the integration layer can never be done on its own, rather it has to always be centered around the data. It does not make sense to have integration layered hosted in the cloud for self-hosted systems of record and it would be rather old-fashioned to run integration between SaaS systems from your data center.
