Centralised editor for all writers across the globe

Under the Hood

The idea emerges last year, I am writing on medium, hashnode and other platforms.

Every time I’ve to repost the same article or twist some content and post again on different platforms.

This is a time-consuming process.

Another problem statement is when I want to share my blogs from multiple platforms I’ve to open the platform and search for my article and share it accordingly. Again time-consuming process.

Why can’t I automate this entire process and even make something more interesting from this in future?

Centralised Editor

Write once and share everywhere every time
This is and will be the theme of this product if I ever decided to develop it.

The idea is simple, one editor should give the writer the ability to write blogs and post them on multiple platforms of their choice.

User can even choose the type of editor he is comfortable writing with, some writer prefers google doc and some prefer medium like block-scope editors and some prefer markdown editors.

So the choice must be given and the user will be free to use whatever editor he/she wants to use. It’s not about the editor that gives good articles it’s the content and the editor is just enhancing the process of reflecting the idea into text.

I don’t want the writer to not write just because the editor is not of his/her preferential choice. As a developer, I would treat this as a failure if I won’t be able to do it or just say that I am intellectually convinced of it.

Features

  • Writers can save, edit and delete blogs from the centralised editor.
  • Writers can market their blogs on social media platforms with one button click on the centralised editor
  • Writers can provide subscribers list to directly email to all subscribers from the centralised editor

Chat GPT in the picture

This will be an interesting use case.

Chat GPT can easily give Twitter threads or LinkedIn posts from large blogs so once the writer wrote the article we will give suggestions for Twitter threads and LinkedIn posts from Chat GPT helping writers to easily market the blog.

This will again save time in marketing the blog and finalising Twitter threads content but Chat GPT can do it within seconds.

User Experience or Flow

The interface will look simple, and the following will be the user flow or experience -

  • The user logged in and an account was created in the centralised editor
  • Users can open the editor page and start writing blogs
  • Once the blog is completed the user can choose the choice of the platform he wants to post the blogs such as Medium, Hashnode and so on.
  • After posting articles we will save the same in our database for further use
  • Once the blog is posted Chat GPT will give suggestions on how to market it on Twitter and LinkedIn and other social media platforms
  • Chat GPT can even give ideas on How to bring this blog into video format for writers who are available on Youtube and Instagram and Tiktok.
  • Once this is done the writer can go to his account to see all his blogs and add subscribers also
  • A writer can even send the blog to all of his subscribers over the email This is the typical user experience or flows on the centralised editor.

Bottlenecks

I can think of certain bottlenecks at this point in time

  • The medium doesn’t provide API to post blogs using API, the same has to check with other platforms
  • Social media platforms' APIs to post content is also not free after some time, for example, Twitter API has the usage limit
  • Chat GPT is also not free after some usage limit Apart from this other features are not so hard. In fact, nothing much is left apart from this and I am not sure how I will solve this problem.

Even If I am able to do it I can’t find a way to bring products for Freemium or zero cost.

To be able to run the product I need to pay to these third-party platforms and chat GPT.

Conclusion

This idea seems interesting and useful.

I haven’t started working on it but if you have any idea about it or are willing to work or invest then feel free to message me.

That’s it for today, until next time, have a good day, people.
