Day 356 : Stay

HIPHOP and CODE - Apr 29 '21 - - Dev Community

liner notes:

  • Professional : Worked on some more assets that would help our team when making videos to help keep a consistency across tutorials. Had a Dev Rel team meeting and got a chance to demo some of the stuff I've been working. Rest of the day, got my slides for my talk tomorrow uploaded to my website and extracted the audio from video to play along my slides. When I do a live presentation, my speech is turned into text and clicks to switch slides then saved to a database so that it can be played back when the play button on the slides is pressed. Since this one isn't live and pre-recoreded, I just played the video and clicked through the slides and played the video loud so the Speech to Text could work. Came out surprisingly good and everything pretty much lined up. Normally it takes a while to align the slides switch with the text transcription. Not this time. I may do this for my live talks also. haha.

  • Personal : Last night, I went through a bunch of tracks for the radio show. I also spent some time thinking through and sketching out the inside of my van. In particular, I'm thinking about my work area.

A lake in Sukko Lake, Russia with trees with orange leaves growing out of the water.

While updating my site with the new presentation slides, I noticed that the presentations weren't ordered by date. Up until now, every event name happened to be in alphabetical order and descending in date. haha. I just need to add another entry to the database for the event date and time and then order my that. I think all I'll need to do in my code is modify the call I make to the database. Not sure why I never thought of this before. Going to fix that, work on my side project and not stay up too late because the event starts super early in the morning.

Have a great night!

peace piece
